"To put it
concisely: breeders who cover up hereditary defects occurring in litters
are acting as gravediggers to a breed. Breed clubs that continue to
disregard hereditary deficiencies, such as lack of maternal instinct in
the brood-bitch or mating instinct in the stud dog, should be excluded
from the privileges of the responsible kennel club." We do not breed for the public, though we may occasionally have puppies or dogs available that do not fit into our program. As well, we cannot keep all pups from a litter, making those we do not choose to keep as prospects, available for sale. 2010 CWE Gus x CWE Dixie
The summer '09 Gus x Dixie breeding never took despite several ties. We will attempt to repeat this breeding and try again for a litter if arrangements can be made. Gus and Dixie are half brother and sister, both off of Carr's Spike. This breeding, if it occurs, will be closed to the general public! CWE puppies are rarely available! On the rare occasion we offer a CWE, an in-depth screening and application process is required for prospective owners! They ARE NOT for the novice and ARE NOT suited for city or suburban life! We DO NOT let CWE pups go (to or for) fanciers, novices, city or suburban dwellers, for ANY illegal activities, or those who have not been educated by us about the CWE specifically. To ensure the survival of the CWE as a whole we DO NOT let pups go before 12 weeks of age!!
