Archives You will notice some of the dogs below have cropped ears, making them look Terrier like. This is a "Bulldog cut," a practice that was very common up until about 20 years ago. The practice was stopped for this very reason. As the bad reputation of the Pit Bull began to spread, WEB owners quit cropping the ears of their dogs to disassociate the WEB from the APBT.
