White English Bulldogs
English Alaunt type Mastiffs
'In about 1556, large numbers of English Bulldogs were introduced into Spain and the island of Cuba, by Philip II, to be used in the arena.' The Mastiffs the Big Game Hunters Spain established St. Augustine in 1556. There are two original bulldogs still found around old Spanish forts; the Brindle Bulldog and the White English. When the white's have patches of color, there are preferred red-brown, not brindle. Most likely, the Brindle is descendant of the Spanish Alano and the White are descendant of the English Alaunts. WEB White Boy 11-15-05 He is a littermate to Kaolin's Jack, Patches, and Otis.

These are the old type working farm Bulldogs all modern bull breeds are made from in the South, including the American Bulldog, The Alapaha Blue Blood, and the Ol' Southern Bulldog. CWE Gus 23" @ shoulder 80 lbs. 7 years old 100% Carr 10 generations of Carr co-owned with Kaolin Belt Bulldogs
Gus on guard at left and on patrol at right. Gus has surpassed all of our expectations. His protective and guarding instincts are perfect, he is calm, with a very laid back nature, obedient to a "T", not food, dog, animal, or man aggressive, patient with puppies and juvenile dogs, and with an on / off switch that is flawless. He is very gentile and patient with children, allowing them to pull, poke, prod, ride, and lay on him. Gus has shown no dominance issues and does not provoke a fight, yet will not back away from one; he will stand his ground; as well, Gus shows zero threat display. When he is "on" he is all business, as serious a dog as any you would want. However, he will turn "off' with a single word and is back to being a child's play-toy. Gus is an amazing athlete, with super agility. He jumps from a sitting position up onto the 6 foot fence, landing 4 feet off the ground and holding on with his toes while resting his head on the top of the fence. He will hang there for 10-15 seconds looking over the fence. He is 6 years old and able to do this. Gus is the embodiment of the WEB, both physically and in temperament. We could not be more pleased with him. Gus is one of a handful of surviving 100% Carr dogs, male and female. WEB Patches 11-15-05 In the 2 pictures on the far right, she is still nursing 7 pups! Far right picture is White Boy, Patches, and 'Patche in front.

GG WEB Marsh sire is 100% CWE
Marsh is a Georgia Giant type WEB. WEB Spartan sire is CWE Gus.
This is Spartan at 4 months old beside his mother Patches. I think it's safe to say he's going to be of the GG type. The CWE have been tightly linebred for over 80 years and are always known to be on the smaller side. By outcrossing to other WEB lines, the larger old Mastin type, aka GG, is being thrown .
