Curtis Conner interview

When we approached Mr. Curtis about the Alapaha, our first question was, "Did the ABBB come from the WEB?" He answered "yes". All other questions he referred to John Conner, his son.

When did you first hear from Lana?

Were you breeding Alapahas when you first heard from Lana?

Was your father breeding Alapahas at this time?

What had your father bred for many years previously?

What bulldogs did you grow up with?

How were they used by you and your family?

Could you describe them physically as well as their temperament?

What was done with culls?

Did you and your father began crossbreeding with Lana's stock?

When did this start?

What did you think of her history of the ABBB and the dogs themselves?

I know that after Lana's death I saw around 20 dogs that you got from Mrs. Vivian. I also know all too well your opinion of those particular dogs and what eventually happened to them. Would you care to elaborate?

Do you consider the ABBB to be a strain of WEB or a different breed  altogether that derives from the WEB?

When did you first hear the term American Bulldog?

When did you began showing dogs?

When did you stop showing dogs?

Do you still breed dogs?

How many dogs are on your yard now?
